Day 9 -

Walpurgis Night festival, the town was truly alive and there were so many people in the street. You could tell that everyone was on party mode just by the atmosphere.
We spent the night at William’s Pub, an Irish bar. The night was great and so were the people.
We came back home around 5:00am, I don’t know how but I survived the night.

Day 8 -

We went to Sigtuna, a port-town. Beautiful view and historical ruins over there. There were also some ancient houses.
I got to see some of the country-side landscapes too.
Ate some icecream by the water, the weather was nice.

We started working on our music as we got back home.

Day 6 -

We had planned to meet with the rest of my friend’s band members in Stockholm, but first we had a meal in Uppsala Central Station with a coworker of my host.

Their train system is fantastic, very effective. We got to Stockholm in no-time and had his band members meet us in the train. We reserved the touristic visiting of the city for next week when one of my friend from Germany will come and visit Stockholm for the first time, so that we tour the city together.

We got headed to a coffee shop and had a blast, I could not stop thinking about how much some of my friends from home would have loved the people I’ve just met.

We headed toward a pub and stayed there for a few hours before deciding to go back home instead of, as originally planned, sleep over a friend’s house in Stockholm. I felt the fever coming back so I preferred resting. (Party Pooper Potato)

Day 5 -

Woke up to a nice surprise, my ear started bleeding.

We hurried up to the clinic and after some talk with my insurance company, they agreed to pay all charges. We then proceeded to the doctor appointment where they prescribed me some antibiotics for my ear infection.

Weirdly and luckily, my ear did not hurt at all.

Child-likely, we agreed to warm our hearts with candies to take out the gloomy mood of the hospital world.

Day 4 -

Overnight of Day 3, my cold had transformed into my ear canal being completely blocked. I didn’t quite know if it was from the plane pressure or just from the cold.

We had enough of crappy McMeals and decided it was time for groceries. At the same time, I headed to a pharmacy to see if they had anything for my ear.

Got back, had some romantic taco night (lol) and after a long philosophical discussion we headed to brainstorm our music project.

Day 3 -I’ve been sick overnight the Day 2 and I’ve been coping with my health since then (hence the delay in the blog updates). Cold, Fever and every part of my body aching like an old man.I’m quite convinced I caught the virus from the lady sitting next to me (and coughing constantly) in the first airplane. Not quite her fault, but the situation sucks anyway. As I got up, the fever was gone and I already felt much better, to gain back some energy I went to grab some fruits at the grocery store and went jogging around the neighborhood.Sweden parks divide bike and pedestrian roads in two which is quite useful. I ended up at the Gränby Centrum mall, which was closed.Got back to the apartment and waited for my friend to finish work. He got back at 4:00am and we were both quite hungry, the logical meal at this hour was obviously McDonald.Their menu/sauces are quite different, the sauces are awful but at least they serve real chicken and they are real potatoes.

Day 2 -

I managed to stay awake until at least 11pm yesterday so that I could be on the proper schedule right away. I then woke at 10:30am and we went downtown Uppsala. Visited some shops, went to take a coffee and visited some of the interesting places.

The architecture is beautiful.

Day 1 -

My flight had been delayed for one hour, by the time I got in the first plane I was already quite tired. I managed to get there safely and everything was fine, except that I could not sleep for the whole time because the seats were not so comfortable and the noise (even with ear plugs).

I then arrived at London’s Heathrow airport, the customs there were actually a pain. X-ray and individual detector for everyone. It felt much more military than the Canadian ones.

My friend came and picked-me up at the airport with another of his friend who I had the pleasure to meet. We then went to drop my luggages at the apartment and went to get some sushi after some basic talk.
They were delicious even though maybe I got a bit food-sick from them haha.

At this point I had not slept for 35 hours, so I was quite delirious and could not grasp what was going on or where I really was. It was fun and a happy night nonetheless.

P.S. 40 000 feet is higher than I’ve ever been.
